Tatum and I are making regular visits to the Vet to keep a close eye on her health as she ages. In one of our recent visits, we learned the benefit of Vitamin B12 for dogs.

B vitamin can alleviate symptoms in various dog diseases including Renal, Gastrointestinal, and Kidney failure. Vitamin B12 is water-soluble, so animals do not store it in their bodies but excrete excess amounts through urination. Dogs need adequate amounts of the vitamin for the proper functioning of the nervous system and normal cell development.

Symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency in dogs include lethargy, loss of appetite and depression. These symptoms can often occur in older dogs, therefore it’s important to be in tune with your pooch and take action accordingly. Vitamin B12 is a great solution for dogs experiencing these types of mood changes.

"seeingred_h"Due to Tatum’s recent diagnosis of a weak nervous system, our Vet prescribed B12 injections. Injections help absorb the vitamin more thoroughly than pill form. Some breed do not absorb B12 well, so shots help provide adequate amounts.

After just two days of injections, Tatum has turned into a Perky Pooch! The increased energy, alertness, and tail wagging is proof that B12 is all it’s cracked up to be. I’m more impressed every day as Tatum begs for my attention to romp around and play. Tennis balls are landing in my lap on a regular basis to play catch. Watching her fetch one stuffed animal after another out of the toy box at night makes me happy. She’s staying up later and getting up earlier. Every day is a gift, and an energized and happy gift with B12 as part of her daily regimen!
