Trail Dog Treats’ Mountain Debut

Trail Dog Treats was proud to represent at the Screamin’ Snowman Snow Shoe Race on Feb 14th.  The course is designed to provide a nice mix of singletrack, groomed trails and fresh powder for a fun and challenging race.  

With temps no more than 20 degrees on Eldora mountain, it made for a brisk day, but, thankfully that infamous Colorado sunshine was in full force to help with the bone chill.  The vendors were set up with demo snow shoes, and our favorite MC, “Big Foot” was entertaining the crowd with his race day radio show – a staple every year at the Screamin’ Snowman.  What would we do without Big Foot annoucing the racers as they passed through the finish line, and keeping everyone motivated throughout the day?! 
He was also kind enough to give Trail Dog Treats many props; promoting me and my sample treats all morning long.  Thanks for the support!

I was thrilled to beat my personal best with a 47 min. race time – a bit anxious to finish so I could get to work passing out free treat samples.  Although I couldn’t bring my trail dog with me, I was happy to spread the word about Trail Dog Treats on my own..  2 hours and 80 bags later, I managed to meet every dog lover on the mountain, and even some dogs brave enough to endure the cold weather.
